The insurance plan cover inpatient (IP) and outpatient (OP) costs of care within the network of healthcare providers.
The member will choose what type of insurance cover he/she would like to extend to his/her family; either the full cover (Inpatient and Outpatient) or Inpatient only coverage which will be available on various options/category depending on the limits preferred by the member.
Inpatient cover provides for medically necessary hospital admission costs including bed charges, doctor’s bills, and anesthetist’s bills, operating theater fees, pharmacy, laboratory and other investigations incurred by an insured member during hospitalization. This also includes cover for MRI and CT scans.
Outpatient cover provides for out of hospital treatment or medical treatment that does not require admission/hospitalization. It includes consultations (specialist and general), laboratory tests, X-rays, ultrasounds, medication and casualty/emergency services.
